I’m best known for voice-driven content, nonstop idea generation, and never missing a deadline. (My kid? Born on his due date.) I have an MFA in writing and am the author of three nonfiction books, Living Large, Bloomingdale’s 150, and Awful First Dates. I spent 2020 as the Director of Strategic Communications for Oregon’s Governor, creating all content for the state Covid and wildfire websites; managing social media (averaging 1 million engagements); launching a monthly newsletter to 40,000 readers; and quickly writing speeches to explain complex things simply, like the $100 billion (yes, billion) budget. Previously, I was an Editorial Director at Nike. Before that, I worked in NYC as a staff editor, then freelance writer, for national magazines, with bylines in: The New Yorker, Esquire, Vanity Fair, Travel + Leisure, WIRED, The Washington Post Magazine, Bon Appetit, Men’s Journal, O: The Oprah Magazine, New York Magazine, Glamour, InStyle, Marie Claire, SELF, Allure, and The Food Network Magazine, among others. I bake, read, and try to prevent my child from riding our Great Pyrenees.
